Native Kentuckian Sheena Gordon and her husband Drew opened The Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge in July of 2015, bringing a taste of her home state to the Denver suburb. Located in the Historic Olde Town Arvada across from the RTD Gold Line Station that connects the neighborhood to downtown Denver.  The Bluegrass is a 130-year-old space converted into a cozy lounge with Kentucky whiskey barrels, barns and telegraph poles, horse-themed art, and a beautiful back patio. Opening up every day at 7 AM, we serve up some amazing pastries and breakfast items along with our own house roasted coffee. The Southern charm keeps flowing into the evening with live music almost every night, award winning pizza and sandwiches, and over 150 whiskey selections. We’ve been nominated for 9 years as one of the top 80 Bourbon Bars in the United States. Along with the whiskey, there’s a handful of other spirits, cocktails, wine and beer. We’re just not any bar or restaurant though. We’re a great place for families, friends, dogs, or business meetings!

In October of 2020, the 2nd Bluegrass Lounge opened serving the same southern hospitality, food, and libations in the Candelas neighborhood of Arvada with an expanded offering of 250+ whiskies, a broad selection of Gin, Tequila, Mezcal and Rum as well as 12 draft beers, and a vast selection of wines. The food menu features an expanded selection of sandwiches with french fries as an option for a side dish and appetizers include our popular chicken wings with house-made sauces. You can always have a fun time at either of our locations with tons of events going on year-round. Don’t forget to follow our social media to enjoy things like our Crawfish Boil, Pig Roast, Whiskey Wednesdays, S’mores and Whiskey Nights, and one of Denver’s Top Rated Christmas Pop-Up Bars “NOEL.”
